Signs, signs, everywhere are signs...

On a message board I frequent we do photography challenges. This week is signs. I really enjoyed this one! I loaded Addie in the stroller and we headed down Mack Ave. It was such a beautiful day, the warmest of the year so far.

A sure sign of Spring

It was a beautiful day yesterday, and the temperature made it to the 70's! Since the backyard is finally drying out, I took a peek to see what needs to be done. I came across a little cluster of Crocuses. I just love the colors!

Here is the same shot in Black and White. I think I may like it more because it looks abstract and shows off the texture of the old leaves (which I need to get on the ball and rake).

Our first visit to the park!

The weather if finally getting warmer! Today we took our first trip to the neighborhood park for this year. Aidan had a blast. He got the opportunity to blow off some steam and go crazy. He just looks so big playing on the equipment! He even befriended another little boy. For those that know him, this is a complete 180 from last year. I'm so proud of him!

Addie had fun to, at least I think so! She loved watching her big brother run around. However, she was not a fan of the swing. Mean mommy for leaving her in there to get a pic! She also got to sit on grass for the first time. She was really unsure of it! She came around though and was fascinated with it.

When the boys are away..

Jim and Aidan took a little trip to Connecticut. Jim attended A job fair for the Hard Rock Casino in Florida. They also were able to visit with Jim's parents. This is great for Aidan since we don't get to see them very often. The trip was successful. Jim got the job, but we still aren't sure if we have the means to move to South Florida. Aidan also spent some quality time with Grandma and Grampa Hosking.
I stayed home with Addie. We didn't think she would travel very well. I actually enjoyed our alone time very much! It was surprisingly peaceful, and a much needed break for me....that is if you consider caring for a demanding 9 month old and cleaning house a break! LOL! We were able to have some much needed mommy/daughter time. I used some free time to get some pictures of Addie. She's getting so big, and her personality is really coming out! It's also getting to be a challenge to get a decent shot of her as she's becoming more mobile!
While taking pictures, I realized that I haven't had a picture of me and her alone since she was born! I actually love this, even though I'm not wearing makeup!

A boy and his Bike

It's finally getting warm enough to play outside! Aidan got the opportunity to try out his new bike. Ok, so he couldn't figure out how to work the pedals! I still love that he looks a bit badass.

About Me

My photo
I'm a stay at home mom of two kids. Life is sometimes quite busy to say the least! In the little spare time I have, I've been learning a bit of photography. I have sooo much to learn, but I really, really enjoy it. I also enjoy my time at the gym. Not only does it help keep me centered (as possible), I'm slowly getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight! I am married to my wonderful husband, Jim. We've been married for close to five years! It's so hard to believe how fast these years have flown! We all live together in suburban Detroit, along with our dog, Zoe and our cat, Telly!
